Early this year we applied for a loan with a bank that was painfully slow. Not trusting that they would get their act together to settle in time, we sought help from Rolf Schaefer at RJA Financial Services. Having received a number of quotes for a long planned extension we determined that the finances we had available may not quite stretch over the duration of the project to cover the costs.

I had met Rolf through work and knew of his work in financial services and being dissatisfied with the customer service of the bank thought him worth a call. We weren't disappointed.

We discussed with Rolf our requirements and he presented a number of options with their advantages, disadvantages and costs. He also suggested that it was "easier to organise your finance when you don't need it, it is very hard to get it when you really need it!".

We took Rolf's advise and selected an equity access facility through our bank which best suited our needs. Rolf also navigated through red tape with the bank that may have caused us problems had we applied directly. We ended up needing to use the facility when some unexpected costs arose midway through the project.

Thanks Rolf, we are glad we heeded your advise as we would have been in trouble without the financial facility you recommended to us.

I was introduced to Rolf through a friend that was also looking at investment property. I found Rolf to be very approachable and helpful. He was interested in more than making his commission -- he seemed genuinely interested in me and my life as well. As I’m based in Sydney and Rolf in Melbourne, we talked for some length on the phone to initially discuss my needs.

It was my first investment property so I was somewhat of a novice about things.
